Biography
Since graduating from Mount Royal College in May of 1987, Karen had a brief career in retail design in Calgary until her move to Vancouver late in 1987. She has worked steadily since then, and has many years of experience in commercial office interiors, combined with a selection of restaurant, and retail projects. She has headed many projects while working with other design firms as well as independent projects. She is also accustomed to working as part of a design team on large-scale projects. Her attention to detail, technical expertise, creativity and professionalism has resulted in successful completion of past projects.
Karen’s involvement with N.C.I.D.Q. and with the local professional organization brought her recognition, and she served on the Board of Management of the Interior Designers Institute of B.C. for four and one half years from 1998 until 2003, two of those as President.
